Admissions procedure
To enter the EIM you must sit for competitive entrance exams, submit an application form and take part in a personal interview.
Admission into the 1st year of the EIM is open to students from all disciplines after graduating from secondary school. However, students who have already obtained a 2-year degree can enter the 2nd year and students with a 3-year degree can enter the 4th and final year.
Admission to the EIM is subject to national competitive exams.
The competitive entrance exams provide access to two international degree programmes at the EIM: the BBA Hons – International Trade - and the Bachelor of Commerce "International trade with Asian Markets".

- Admissions are also open to all graduates and students in their final year of secondary school who are sitting for, or have obtained, the European Baccalaureate (awarded by a European school) or an International Baccalaureate (awarded by the International School of Geneva).
- Admissions are open to all graduates and students in their final year of secondary school who are sitting for, or have obtained, a foreign equivalent of the Baccalaureate recognised by the French government.
- Disabled candidates: the EIM wishes to promote access for disabled candidates who want to pursue a career in international trade.
The Admissions department asks disabled candidates to include with their application form a (confidential) letter explaining their situation and any relevant documents including, eventually, official proof of disability.
The competitive exams are designed to provide equal opportunity for all candidates, no matter what their background. The written tests aim to evaluate the general level of the candidates as well as their level in foreign languages, which are vital for international studies.
The goal of the interview is to identify the personal qualities of the candidates that will enable them to:
- benefit from the innovative pedagogy of the EIM,
- develop their personal and professional skills,
- succeed in their chosen career.
Therefore the EIM gives as much importance in the admissions process to the candidate’s personality as his or her intellectual abilities.

Conditions d'admission
L'entrée à EIM se fait par le biais d'un concours national.
Le concours est conçu pour offrir des chances égales à tous les candidats, quelle que soit leur filière d'origine. Les épreuves ont pour objectif de tester le niveau général des candidats, ainsi que leur maîtrise des langues étrangères, indispensables dans la poursuite d'études internationales.
Quant à l'entretien, son objectif est l'identification des qualités personnelles qui leur permettront :
• d'assimiler la pédagogie innovante de l'E.I. Montpellier
• de développer leurs compétences personnelles et professionnelles
• de se réaliser dans leur vie professionnelle.
L'E.I. Montpellier accorde ainsi, dans ses critères de sélection, une place aussi importante à la personnalité des candidats qu'à leurs capacités intellectuelles.
L’admission en 1ère année l’E.I. Montpellier est accessible par concours à toutes les filières et ouverte directement après le baccalauréat. Cependant, les titulaires d'un Bac+2 peuvent intégrer la 2ème année du programme. Et pour les titulaires d’un Bac +3, la 4ème et dernière année du programme.
Le concours se déroule en 2 temps :
-Une épreuve d’admissibilité (coefficient 20) : il s’agit d’une sélection sur dossier qui a pour objectif d’identifier, chez les candidats, la motivation, le profil de compétences et les qualités personnelles et professionnelles.
-Trois épreuves d’admissions :
-un test de culture générale et logique sous forme de QCM (durée : 1 heure, coefficient 5)
-une épreuve orale d’anglais (durée : 20 mn, coefficient 5)
-une épreuve d’entretien (25 mn, coefficient 20) dont l’objectif est d’identifier chez le candidat les qualités prédictives d’une réussite future.
