Course programme

Year 1
The first year of the EIM programme combines both academic and entrepreneurial training. The first year of studies is made up of:
- Courses aimed at acquiring business basics and developing an international approach in all the subjects.
- A group business project (Alpha 1)
- An in-company training period: the Hands-on Discovery internship.
Year 2
The second year at the EIM is devoted to courses and a business project. Studies aim to develop the student’s knowledge and mastery of the management techniques that structure companies in an international context.
The programme consists in:
- General courses that enable students to develop a wider vision and deepen their knowledge of international business practices.
- A business project (Alpha 2)
- A major in “Corporate Culture, Ethics and Behaviour” and a study of economic and business trends. This major is a real stepping stone towards international mobility.
Year 3
The third year of the EIM programme is spent full-time in a company. This year inside a firm enables students to learn from real life situations in a professional environment and allows them to take part in the development of an organisation through a long-term international assignment.
This one-year internship can take place in France or abroad, in the public or private sector.
Year 4
The final year of studies can take place in France or abroad:
- Overseas, in one of our partner universities, students attend courses at the host institution and can earn a foreign degree (Bachelor, Licenciatura or Diplombetriebswirt/-in).
- In France, at the EIM, the final year is organised in three phases :
- a first phase of distance learning in partnership with Trobe University in Australia
- a second phase of management courses
- a third phase of elective courses that enable students to be highly operational in their first job.
This year enables students to earn a BBA Hons from the EIM and a Bachelor’s degree from Trobe University in Australia.
The fourth year ends with a final training period: a specialisation internship. It lasts at least 6 months and usually leads to the student’s first job.
Apart from learning goals specific to management, the following general learning objectives will be developed during these foursyears of studies:
-Communication Skills : the students must develop their ability to transmit oral and written messages in an effective manner.
-Team work skills : The students should develop their ability to work in teams as well as their interpersonal skills
-Corporate social responsibility.The students must demonstrate their awareness of the social, environmental and economic role of the corporate world
-Knowledge and understanding of company business functions : The students must be able to underderstand, through knowledge of the main business functions, the various operational and organisational models in companies.
-Quantitative skills : The students must be able to understand, analyse and use quantitative data to make decisions and present them to stakeholders.
-Knowledge of the domestic and global business environment.The students must demonstrate awareness of the necessity to consider the company within its entirety, taking into account all the elements susceptible to affect its functioning or its activities, at a domesctic or global level.
-Entrepreneurial Sirit : The students must develop their personal initiative, adaptability and self-organisation skills.
